Short story in Edpuzzle

I have chosen this video about a reading because I consider it is a good idea to motivated students with reading. They can follow the story while they answer some questions. Videos with Edpuzzle could be a complementary resource to the physical graded readers. 

The learning objetives of the session are:

a. General understanding of the reading.

b. Learning some new vocabulary.

c. Review Past Simple.

In this session about reading in my class of first level of ESO, students are going to do different activities:

• Pre-reading activity: giving key words to make them guess what the text is about.
• While- reading activity: answering multiple choice and questions about the reading.
• Post- reading activity: write a possible extension of the story.

Then, students have to compare this video with the book they have already read about The Snow Queen. This book is the graded reader students have to deal with it. 

Students like this activity and I will use this resource to reinforce students with reading. 

For the next time, I will improve the level of the video and I will use it for each unit. They are so happy with this application because they can record voice notes.

With the post-reading activities, students have to upload the possible extension of the story to Classroom application. They can make it in pairs. So, we are working all the skills together and also they improve the digital and linguistic competence at the same time we give the cooperative work.
